PORT MANAGER SWITCHES
Set Port Parameters (/P)
Displays a menu which allows the user to select options and parameters for an
individual port. Please refer to
Section 5.3
for a detailed description of the
procedure for defining port parameters.
CAUTION!
When the unit is initialized (using the /I command or the SET and CLEAR
buttons), parameters selected with the /P command will revert to the
defaults specified by the SETUP switch configuration.
NOTE
If you specify a port name with this command, it must be unique. If you
specify a name or part of a name that is shared by more than port, the
PM Switch will reject the command.
Command Availability:
All (Administrator)
Command Format:
/P
n
[Enter]
where
n
is the number or name of the port to be configured.
PM Switch Response:
The Port Parameters Menu will be displayed.
Read Port Parameters (/U)
Sends configuration parameters to an ASCII text file as described in
Chapter 7
. When the /U command is invoked, the system will send a series of
command lines describing current port configuration.
Command Availability:
All (Administrator)
Command Format:
/U [Enter]
PM Switch Response:
The PM Switch will send a series of command lines.
