PORT MANAGER SWITCHES
The Status Screen lists the following parameters:
• PORT: The Port Number.
• NAME: The user-defined Port Name.
• STATUS: The current status of each port:

The port has accessed the PM Switch Command Mode.

The port is not in use.

• BAUD: The Port’s data rate in bps or (for “19.2” or “38.4”) Kbps.
• B/P: The port’s data-bits and parity settings.

• MODE: The user-selected port mode, either “ANY” (Any-to-Any Mode)
or “MODEM” (Modem Mode). Note that the Modem Mode is only
available to Ports 1 and 2.
• TIMEOUT: The status of the Resident Disconnection and No-Data
Timeout features for the port:
OFF
Timeout disabled, but Resident Disconnection still
possible with Logoff Sequence.
[Time value] Resident Disconnection disabled, but No-Data
Timeout will cause automatic disconnection after
indicated time.
BOTH
Both features enabled. (To see No-Data-Timeout
periods, you must use the /W command for each
specific port.)
NONE
Both features disabled—port can only be disconnected
by actions taken at other ports.
• BUFF: The amount of data currently stored in the buffer for this port.
The PM Switch will allocate buffer memory in 2-KB blocks. If necessary,
the /E command can be issued from a port with “All” command capability
to clear data from port buffers.
