7. Add Non-Supervisor Access rights. (If the user has Supervisor access, these
boxes will be grayed out.) To set Host PC access rights, click the “View/
Modify...” button; the dialog box shown in Figure 6-13 appears. Simply create
a list of the PCs that this user will be allowed to access. (By default, access is
“approved” [YES] for all computers; “deny” [change to NO] any computers
this user should not access.)
When you finish this process, click “OK” to save your changes and return
to the Add Users box.

8. If your system includes Power Management Modules: If necessary, restrict this user’s
access to any Module(s) by clicking the Add button in the Control Module
Access Rights area. Type in the three-digit number of any Module you want to
make off-limits to this user in the box that pops up, and that number will appear
in the Pos column of the “Deny access” area to the right. Keep typing in numbers
until the “Deny” list for this user is complete. (Remember that position “001”
is the first Module in the chain—the Module attached to the ServLINK’s serial
port that controls power to the first PC,
not
the Module that controls power to
the ServLINK itself—and “002” is the second Module in the chain, etc.)
To restore a user’s access to a Module later, highlight the Module’s entry
in the “Deny” list and click the Delete button. (Both the Add and Delete buttons
will always be grayed out for supervisors, who always have access to all Modules.)
9. Click OK to return to the Users box; there should now be an entry for this
user in the users list.
10. Repeat steps 3 through 9 for all the users in your system. When you’re
finished, click OK to return to the Main Menu.
