T

1 CSU/DSUs terminate T1/FT1
circuits over a 4-wire RJ-48C

interface. They convert this
interface to V.35, RS-530, or
10BASE-T, depending on model.

T1 CSU/DSUs are an excellent

choice for terminating leased
lines, Frame Relay backbones,
and Internet access. They support
Nx56/Nx64 kbps T1 framing as
well as D4/ESF framing options
and AMI/B8ZS/B7ZS line coding,
plus internal, external, and
network clocking.

Data rates, framing, and

coding options are programmed
by DIP switches or through the
consol port from a VT100 terminal
or terminal emulator.

A full range of system and

diagnostic features make setup
simple. T1 CSU/DSUs respond to
central-office-initiated D4 loopup
and loopdown codes, ESF line
loop, and payload loop FDL

Terminate T1/FT1 and convert to V.35,

RS-530, or Ethernet.

Key Features

T1 CSU/DSUs

messages. They’re compatible
with three V.52 (Bit Error Rate)
test patterns and both local and
remote Telco diagnostics.

T1 CSU/DSUs support

framed Nx56/64 kbps rates up to
1.536 Mbps and unstructured
rates to 1.544 Mbps.

The 10BASE-T model is

particularly suited for LAN-to-LAN
connection. MAC forwarding and
PPP/BCP built-in bridging
provides seamless connection
over the T1 link without the need
of routers. PPP/BCP also enables
you to extend a router’s serial
interface for connection to a
remote Ethernet LAN over the
T1 network.

T1 CSU/DSUs are available in

a choice of V.35, RS-530, or
10BASE-T interfaces. Choose
from a standalone version or a
rackmount card which fits into our
Managed MicroRACK.

Managed MicroRACK

When space is at a premium,

choose the 16-Port Managed
MicroRACK system. It holds up to
16 cards and fits into only 2U of
rack space.

The MicroRACK accepts one

or two AC or DC power supplies in
any combination. Each power
supply is capable of providing
100% of your rack power
requirements. In the event of
failure, the other supply
immediately takes over and the
MicroRACK notifies you of the
power failure.

The network management

module enables you to configure,
control, and perform diagnostics
using SNMP or HTTP over a
10BASE-T Ethernet connection.
