Chapter 1: Specifications

Specifications

MTBF

The mean time between failure (MTBF) in power-on hours
(POH) is listed here. The estimate is based on the FIT rates of
the parts included. FIT rates are based on normalized environ-
mental conditions of T = 60°C and activation energy (Ea) of
0.7 eV. Calculations are based on 90% confidence limit.

We estimate that inside the housing, temperature will be 15°C
higher than the ambient temperature. Therefore, the MTBF
calculation refers to an ambient temperature of 45°C. The
humidity is limited to 60%.
