Manage code structure rules
You enter code structure rules via the code editor and save them under code structure
numbers in the database. Allocate the code structure rules to PLUs via the code structure
numbers. Depending how the PLU database, the fields "Code struc. i. c.field1" to "Code
struc. i. c.field7" are available for this purpose.
Code structure rules contain up to 100 code contents with numeric and alphanumeric vari-
ables such as PLU number, manufacturer or company number, price, weight, text. Code
substrings can also belong to the code contents. Code substrings are managed with the
PLU data and contain PLU-dependent data. The length of the code substring is dictated by
the code structure rule.
The code structure rules allocated to the code fields are automatically called up with the
PLU. The following functions are available to help you manage the code structure rules:
–
Define code structure rule or open rule for editing, see page 215
–
Edit code structure rule and save under code structure number, see page 216
–
Delete code structure rule, see page 227
You can change code structure rules and code substrings for the current labeling job. The
following functions are available:
–
Select a different code structure rule for the current labeling job, see page 227
–
Change code substrings for the current labeling job, see page 227
In devices that operate in a sytem network you can define code struc-
ture rules and code substrings locally (for the device only) or globally
(for all the devices in the network), see page 131.
For further information on working with the system network please con-
tact your Bizerba sales consultant or the Bizerba Service.
