Chapter 6: Instrument Qualification

Create a new protocol, and define the procedure with the steps and settings
as described in this table:

Dispense 80 µL at rate 275 µL/sec
2 Plate Out,In Suggested comment: Weigh the plate (80 uL test). RECORD the
weight, TARE the balance. Place the plate back on the carrier. Click
OK to continue.
3 Dispense Dispenser <select 1 or 2, depending on the protocol>
Dispense to wells A5..H8
Tip prime before this dispense step, 20 µL
Dispense 20 µL at rate 250 µL/sec
4 Plate Out,In Suggested comment: Weigh the plate (20 uL test). RECORD the
weight, TARE the balance. Place the plate back on the carrier. Click
OK to continue.
5 Dispense Dispenser <select 1 or 2, depending on the protocol>
Dispense to wells A9..H12
Tip prime before this dispense step, 5 µL
Dispense 5 µL at rate 225 µL/sec
6 Plate Out,In Suggested comment: Weigh the plate (5 uL test). RECORD the
weight. PIPETTE 150 ul/well of DI water into all 12 columns. Place
the plate back on the carrier. Click OK to perform the Read steps.
7 Shake Medium intensity for 15 seconds
8 Read Step label: “80 uL Read_Disp 1” (or _Disp 2)
