- Cause: Zero Required, Zero Error
- Solution: To clear, check airway adapter and clean if necessary. If this does not correct the
error, perform an adapter zero. If you must zero more than once, a possible hardware
error may exist.
* CO
2
OUT OF RANGE
- Cause: The value being calculated is greater than the upper CO
2
limit (150 mmHg)
- Solution: If error persists, perform a zero.
* CHECK AIRWAY ADAPTER
- Cause: Usually caused when the airway adapter is removed from the Capnostat or when there
is an optical blockage on the windows of the airway adapter. May also be caused
by failure to perform Capnostat zero when adapter type is changed.
- Solution: To clear, clean airway adapter if mucus or moisture is seen. If the adapter is clean,
perform a Capnostat zero.
