22) Standard programs are reloaded to the channel to be ready to be used.
8.2.3 HCV-3048 booster
CAUTION
The HCV-3048 (as well as all our instruments) is calibrated at the factory with high precision
instruments. Both the voltage measurement and control and the current measurement and
control are calibrated with a specific channel board.
If the user performs the calibration using the calibration board, the accuracy that the instrument
had when leaving the factory will be lost, because the calibration board does not have the
highly precise components needed to calibrate over the whole 48 V range that is covered by
the HCV-3048.
Nevertheless, if the instrument has been used for years without calibration, then it can be
useful to perform an user’s calibation. Of course, to have the factory accuracy, the best is to
send it back to the factory.
The other consequence is that if the user uses a different channel board than the one used
when the calibration was performed, the factory calibration will also be lost.
The factory and user accuracies are given in 10.2.7.
