10. Warranty and servicing
We offer you 2 years’ unlimited manufacturer’s warranty (effective from the date of purchase) on all
Bio Green products. Excluded from this warranty are damages arising from external force, improper
use as well as non-observance of cleaning and servicing as described in these operating
instructions.
Extended functionality warranty for greenhouse heaters
The warranty is extended for a further year, exclusively with respect to functionality of the heater.
This includes repairs and components to guarantee good functionality! (The manufacturer does not
assume various freight costs during this extended period!)
The following points must be observed in claiming an extended warranty:
Gas heaters must be serviced annually during the warranty term by a certified servicing company or
heater manufacturer. The buyer is obliged to prove proper servicing in case of warranty claims. No
claims are accepted under the extended warranty period in the absence of proof.
Limitation of liability under the extended warranty
The extended warranty does not cover damages or soiling to the ignition gas nozzle or pilot burner
since these components are included in servicing. Liability is limited to replacement of components
or the device under warranty.
Bio Green is not responsible for damage to plants or sooting of the heater caused by inadequate air
supply.
Important note
Opening of the device and possible repairs may only be performed by approved specialists with due
consideration of the applicable provisions for repairs. Only original components may be fitted.
The warranty for proper operation and operating safety is valid only if the device is properly installed
and handled. This is also applicable with respect to statutory provisions for technical working
materials as well as applicable accident prevention regulations.
We request you to advise your dealer of damages during the warranty term. Depending on the fault,
your device will be exchanged, repaired or replaced. After the warranty period, a certified servicing
company is authorised to perform repairs. Cleaning tasks are charged for.
During periods of non-use in the summer, the device shall be stored in an enclosed container (e.g.
plastic bag) to protect it from spiders and insects, since these block the gas paths, which must then
be cleaned.
The cylinder valve must always be closed when the device is not in use. Keep the gas cylinder away
from direct sunlight. Do not run the hoses past hot areas.
