4. Notes on operation
•
The device is designed for heating and CO
2
-enrichment of greenhouses.
•
The device must be set up on a sturdy and heat-resistant, non-flammable surface.
•
Attention! Although deburred, the enclosure may still have sharp edges.
Risk of cutting!
•
A 30 cm minimum distance from flammable components must be ensured. A 60 cm distance is
recommended at the front and top side. The gas connection may not be positioned on or above
the device.
•
In a greenhouse, position the device where good air circulation is guaranteed.
•
We recommend approx. 20-30 cm above the floor.
•
This device is not suited for orchid and succulent rearing, since some orchids and succulents
cannot tolerate CO
2
enrichment. If you are not sure whether your greenhouse plants are suited
for CO
2
enrichment, ask a gardener.
•
Attention!
The enclosure heats up during operation! Allow to cool down before transporting.
•
Attention! Close the gas valve immediately in case of uncontrolled gas leakage.
5. Installation
If the device is used as a floor-mounted device, the two legs must be fitted to the device using the
screws supplied. Each leg has two fastening holes to securely affix the device to the floor, thereby
preventing the device from being pushed over or toppling. The device should not be mounted under
a shelf in order to ensure even air circulation in the house. It can, however, also be suspended.
Never coveranyofthe heatoutlets orthe air inlets.
All gas appliances must be installed by a competent installer i.e. CORGI registered engineers. As
defined by the "Gas Safety (Installation and Use) (Amendment) Regulations 1990" CORGI
registered engineers can be found in Yellow Pages.
When connecting and installing the unitall regulations in force with local and national authorities
must be adhered to.
In use this heaterwill get hot. When in use always approach with care.
