This control is placed on the bottom left side of the stove's door and the movement is
from inside to outside. The operation to outside means a greater entry of air.
Outside air intake
For the proper operation of the stove, it is essential that there is air enough for the combustion and re/oxygenation of the environment where it
is installed. In the case of houses built under the requirements of “energy efficiency” with a great degree of
air tightness, it is possible that the air intake is not guaranteed (the fitter must assure compliance with the Technical Building Code). This
means that the air must be able to move for the combustion through some openings connected to the exterior, even when doors and windows
are closed. Moreover, it must comply with the following requirements:
•
It must be placed in so that it cannot be obstructed.
•
It must be connected to the environment where the equipment is installed and it must be protected by a grate.
•
The minimum area of the outlet should not be less than 100 cm2. Check regulations on this issue.
•
When the air flow comes through openings that are connected to the exterior of adjacent environments, it is important
•
to avoid air intakes in connection with garages, kitchens, toilets, etc.
PELLET WORKING
The regulations before explained has no function when the stove is under "pellet" mode. The stove is provided with a necessary air intake for
the combustion on the side (40 mm diameter). It is important this intake is not blocked and to respect the recommended distances to the wall
or near items.
It is recommended the primary air intake connection of the stove with the outside although it is not obligatory. The connection tube material
can be made in any material (PVC, aluminium, polyethylene, etc.), not necessarily metallic. Consider that inside this duct is going to pass air
at the outside temperature.
5. SAFETY DEVICES
PELLET WORKING
•
SMOKE EXTRACTOR BREAKDOWN
If the extractor stops, the electronic card automatically blocks the fuel supply.
•
BREAKDOWN OF THE FUEL LOADING MOTOR
If the geared motor stops, the stove keeps on working (only the smoke extractor) until the minimum working smoke
temperature goes down and stops.
•
ELECTRICITY TEMPORARY FAILURE
After a short lack of electricity, the equipment restarts up automatically. When there is no electricity,
the stove may give off a reduced amount of smoke inside the room during a period of time of 3-5 minutes. THIS DOES NOT
ENTAIL ANY HEALTHY RISK. This is why Bronpi advises, whenever possible, to connect the primary air inlet pipe to the
exterior of the house in order to assure that the stove does not give off smokes after this lack of electricity.
•
ELECTRICAL PROTECTION
The stove is protected against abrupt electricity oscillations through a general fuse placed.
in the back side of it (4A 250V slow blow).
•
SMOKE OUTLET PROTECTION
The electronic pressure switch blocks the operation of the stove in the event of an abrupt change of
the pressure inside the combustion chamber (door opening, breakdown of the smoke extraction motor, etc). If this
happens, the machine will go into an alarm state.
•
PROTECTION IN THE EVENT OF HIGH TEMPERATURE OF PELLET (80ºC)
In the event of overheating of the internal part of the tank, this device blocks the operation of the stove. The
restart needs to be done manually by an authorised technician. The restoration of the 80ºC safety device is
not included in the warranty unless the technical assistance centre can demonstrate a faulty component.
•
FLOW SENSOR (OASYS TECHNOLOGY)
Your stove has a flow pressure sensor connected
to the primary air suction pipe that detects the proper circulation of combustion air and the smoke exhaust.
In case of insufficient air inlet (due to incorrect smoke outlet or improper air intake), the sensor sends a "block"
signal to the stove.
The OASYS TECHNOLOGY (Optimum Air System) allows a constant combustion by controlling automatically the
draft according to the characteristics of the flue (curves, length, diameter, etc) and the environmental conditions
(wind, humidity, atmospheric pressure, etc).
