OFFHOOK light

This comes on when Line 

is off HOOK
Off when on HOOK

PHONE        button

Press to begin or answer a 

telephone call.
Press to hang up at the end 

of a call.

PLAY / MSG button

VOLUME button

Press during a call to   

adjust the volume.

INT (   ) button

Press and Hold over 2 

second for Intercom       

Call. 

CHARGE lights

This  comes on when 

thehandset batteries  are 

being charged.

SPEAKERPHONE button

Press to turn the 

speakerphone on and off.

MEMORY button

Press to make calls to 

numbers stored in memory

R (Recall) button

Direct Message Play

You may need this during a
  call if your Icarus 1210  is
     connected to a PBX, or if
        you use BT Select
           Services

PROG / LNR button

When on hook, press to start 

programming.
When off hook, press for Last 

Number Redial

HANDSET LOCATOR 
button

Press this to make the 

handset ring, to help you 

find it if you

ve forgotten 

where you put it.

1  Installation

You need 

one battery pack (NiMH, 3.6v, 300mAh)

 for each handset.

To fit the batteries

1  Open the battery 

compartment cover.

2  Insert the plug in the 

connector, as shown.

    Tuck the wires in and lay the 

battery pack in the 
compartment

3  Fit the battery compartment 

cover, sliding it into place 
and pressing firmly to make 
sure it is secure

Warnings

   

Dispose of used batteries safely 

  never try to burn them 

or put them anywhere they could get burnt or punctured.

   When you are not going to use your Icarus 1210 for a few 

weeks, 

take the batteries out

 so they do not leak 

corrosive substances.

   

Do not leave dead batteries in your handset

   they might 

leak if you do.

Dials out the stored number. [No confirmation tone.]

An Error Tone is heard if the memory is empty.

When the battery level is low during a call, you will hear the low battery 
tone in the earpiece every minute.

Low battery tone

When the handset goes out of range of the base unit, you will hear the 
Out of Range Tone in the earpiece every 12 seconds. You must return in 
range of the base soon otherwise the call will be dropped.

Call Transfer (     /INT  button function)

Off hook stage

Press and hold  

    /INT

  to transfer a call.

You will hear internal dial tone in the earpiece and the 
caller will be on hold.

Press Handset number for the call transfer

Hear internal ring back tone

Once Connected with second handset

Press

  key to transfer and hang up

OR - press and hold

 key to reconnect to the caller

To Re-register handsets

First de-register all handsets

Obtain all handsets for the operation

Start register handset from handset number 1 with 
the following setps:

Press and hold the Base Page key for 4 seconds until it 
gives a double beep. The base will then be in 
registration mode for 20 seconds. 

Put Handset On Hook Stage

Press key 

P/LNR 

Offhook indication LED is blinking slowly

Press digits       1  1  

Confirmation tone

Press base number (1,2,3,4)
Handset and Base in registration communication

Confirmation Tone or Error Tone
Repeat 1-12 for handset number 2~4 If multiple 
handset systems in sequence.

Remove Base power

Press and hold the Page key.

Reconnect the Base power.

Wait until you hear 4 double beeps.

Release the Page key.

After a short time you will hear a confirmation tone.

Now, all the registrations are removed from your base

 De-register all handsets from a Base
