Media offers for kinds of codec, G.711 u-law, G.711 A-law, G.729, G.726, from greatest to lowest in priority.
Phone:
Select to set the following configurations for Phone 1 or Phone2. When phone1 is selected, the
following set media codec will be applied to phone1.
G.711u-Law:
It is a basic non-compressed encoder and decoder technique.

-LAW uses pulse code
modulation (PCM) encoder and decoder to convert 14-bit linear sample.
G.711A-LAW:
It is a basic non-compressed encoder and decoder technique. A-LAW uses pulse code
modulation (PCM) encoder and decoder to convert 13-bit linear sample into 8-bit value.
G.729
: It is used to encoder and decoder voice information into a single packet which reduces the
bandwidth consumption.
