Once you have selected the type of string you will access the Configuration menu for the hardware
characteristics of the serial output, which contains the following parameters:

Hardware: CTS and RTS signals are used. The input CTS signal must be placed
on +12V to enable transmission on the TX foot. The terminal places the output
RTS signal on +12V to report its availability to receive (only available on COM1).
