Troubleshooting Guide: Big Mouth Billy Bass Compatible with Alexa

Big Mouth Billy Bass sings and dances to the
original song “Fishin’ Time” right out of the box
. Just plug
him in with the included power adapter (or add 4 AA batteries to the compartment in the back)
, and he’ll
come to life. Push the red button on the front of his plaque so he can
sing and dance to “Fishin’ Time”
.
Billy only performs his original song
when he’s not connected to Alexa.
Pair him to unlock additional
features.
Power Sources
There are two ways to power Big Mouth Billy Bass: 1) Use the included power adaptor and plug him in.
This is the recommended method for powering your Big Mouth Bill Bass; 2) Install 4 AA batteries (not
included) in the compartment on the back of his plaque. Regardless of which method you choose, be sure
the on/off switch on the back is in the ON position.
Display Options
You have two options for displaying Billy: 1) He comes with a built-in easel for displaying on a shelf, table
or any flat surface; 2) There are also two notches in the back for nails if you’d like to display him on the
wall.
Pairing With an Echo Device
To unlock Billy’s Alexa capabilities, pair him
with a compatible Amazon Echo device (Echo, Echo Dot, Echo
Input, Echo Plus, Echo Show or Echo Spot). Please ensure Big Mouth Billy Bass is turned on (see the on/off
switch on back of his plaque) and in pairing mode by pressing the red button on the front of his plaque. Billy
will let you know when he’s ready to be connected.

If connecting to an Echo, Echo Dot, Echo Input or Echo Plus, you will pair using the Alexa App. First,
open your Alexa App and tap the Devices tab at the bottom of your screen, then tap the Echo & Alexa
button at the top of your screen. Next, select the Alexa device you are pairing with and tap Pair Alexa
Gadget. Find and select your Big Mouth Billy Bass
to begin pairing (he’ll be named “Billy Bass” with four
random numbers in the nam
e: “Billy Bass
-xxxx
”.

If connecting to an Echo Show or Echo Spot, you will pair through the Echo device. First swipe down
from the top of the screen to expose the Settings icon. Select Settings and then select Bluetooth. Find and
select your Big Mouth B
