5.2.4.1 Driving Unit Setup
•
Handle:
The handle is used to carry the driving unit as well as to lock the driving
unit onto the transport system. Pulling out the handle releases the lock. Pushing
it in sets the lock.
•
Mounting bracket:
Use the mounting bracket to attach the driving unit to the
transport system using the mounting hook.
•
Locking mechanism:
The depressions on the underside of the driving unit posi-
tion the driving unit on the mobile components. The locking mechanisms are
found inside the depressions.

Switching On the Driving Unit
The driving unit will switch on as soon as it is connected to a power supply. Its power
supply sources include:
•
connection to the mains via a power supply unit
•
one or two charged batteries
A previously configured driving unit will immediately begin operation, generating the
suctioning and driving pressures for the blood pumps. An unconfigured driving unit
must be configured before operation.
