4.6 Operation of the extractor hood
To achieve an optimal efficiency in removing cooking fumes:
☞
Turn the extractor hood on 1-2 minutes before you start
cooking. This allows the flow of air to build up, and the
fumes are removed at an early stage.
☞
During the cooking process, switch to a power level that
is appropriate for the intensity of the cooking vapours.
☞
If the intensity of the cooking vapours does not subside,
switch to a higher power level.
☞
Switch to the power level setting when searing.
The “P” display flashes. After 6 minutes, the extractor
hood automatically switches back to power level 3.
To activate the power level setting permanently, the
corresponding button must be pushed again. In this
case the extractor hood does not switch back and the “P”
display lights up.
☞
Check the fresh air supply at regular intervals.
☞
Also use the extractor hood to reduce other unpleasant
smells. Such as from:
y
Onions and garlic
y
Oven, microwave and steamer
y
Fondue and raclette
☞
Turn on the run-on function when you have finished
cooking.
☞
Switch the extractor hood off after use. If the automatic
run-on function is activated, the run-on time (10 minutes)
starts in power level 1.
After 12 hours without operation, the extractor hood (incl.
lighting) automatically switches off.
Selecting additional functions is possible via the menu
button.

Press the menu button.
y The extraction changes the menu level.
y Only the symbols of the functions available
in the respective menu level are displayed.
D The functions are described in the
respective sections.
If no input is made, the operating group
changes back to menu level 1 after 2 seconds.
Every marking on the slider stands for the
function indicated by the symbol above the
marking.

Press the slider at the position below
the symbol to select the corresponding
function.
4.6.1 Fan power
Displays on the 7-segment display for the extraction:
The setting of the fan power takes place
automatically.
Power level 1 - lowest fan power
Power level 2 - medium fan power
Power level 3 - high fan power
Power level POWER - maximum fan power
Irrespective of the extraction operating mode, the fan power
for the extractor hood can be set as follows.
The symbol illuminates.

Briefly press the slider at the position
below the symbol to reduce the fan
power.
☞
Touch the slider (> 1 second) at the
position below the symbol to start the
run-on function.
The symbol illuminates.
☞
Briefly press the slider at the position
below the symbol to increase the fan
power.
☞
Touch the slider (> 1 second) at the
position below the symbol to activate the
power level “Power”.
