4.4 Extraction operation
Button Function
Extraction is selected with the corresponding
button.

Press the button.
y
The button illuminates brightly.
y
The slider, the power button and the
simmer button illuminate briefly.
y
Further entries only apply for extraction.

Choose a power level by tapping or
swiping the slider.
y The selected power level is displayed.
y The extraction is started accordingly.

Press the button to start the power stage
(“booster”).
y The selected power level is displayed.
y The extraction is started accordingly.
If the BKF DL cover (optional) is used:
☞
Make sure that the cover is removed and the Powermover
is inserted again.
To achieve an optimal efficiency in removing cooking fumes:
☞
Move the Powermover in the direction of the side with
the lowest proportion of cooking fumes.
The Powermover is magnetically held in the centre and at
the sides.
☞
During the cooking process, switch to a power level that
is appropriate for the intensity of the cooking vapours:
y Power level 1 - lowest fan power
y Power level 5 - medium fan power
y Power level 9 - high fan power
☞
If the intensity of the cooking vapours does not subside,
switch to a higher power level.
☞
Switch to the POWER setting if frying. The device switches
back to power level 9 automatically after 6 minutes.
☞
Check the fresh air supply at regular intervals.
☞
Turn on the run-on function when you have finished
cooking.
☞
Turn off the device after use. If the automatic run-on
function is activated, the run-on time (10 minutes) starts
in power level 1.
4.4.1 Operating modes
There are three operating modes available for extraction by
the device. The selected operating mode is shown in the
display in the centre of the control panel.
Display Operating mode

Press the button for extraction for
3 seconds.
The operating mode switches in the
sequence: Semi-automatic -> Automatic ->
Manual -> Semi-automatic, etc.
In delivery condition, semi-automatic mode is
activated.
Semi-automatic mode
With activation of the cooking zone, the fan
is also switched on automatically to power
level 5. In further operation, the connection
between the selection of the cooking zone
level and fan power is severed.
The fan switches off when the cooking zone is
switched off or the automatic run-on starts.
Automatic mode
The setting of the fan power takes
place automatically. The fan is adjusted
automatically to a suitable power level
depending on the cooking zone level that is
selected.
If multiple cooking zones are used, the power
level is adjusted accordingly. The cooking
zone with the highest active power level
determines the fan power.
The power level of the fan can also be
changed manually during operation.
The device remains in automatic mode.
Manual mode
The setting of the fan power takes place
manually. The connection between the
selection of the cooking zone level and fan
power selection is severed.
Automatic mode includes pot recognition. If the cookware is
removed from all cooking zones, the device slowly reduces
fan output to power level 1.
