HOW TO PROGRAM PULSE OUTPUT
FOR USE WITH FLEET MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
Menu Code 50 is used to program the pulse unit (money display or mass display), pulse ratio, and pulse output speed
PPS (pulses per second). These three programmable steps are used to determine the flow rate for mechanical pulse
output. Refer to steps 1 through 3 for detailed descriptions and programming instructions.
STEP 1
- Select the pulse unit.
STEP 2
- Determine the pulse ratio based on the pulse unit (money or mass).
STEP 3
- Select the pulse output speed PPS (pulses per second).

PULSE UNIT
The
Pulse Unit
identifies the source of the pulses (sale data display). There are two pulse units (money and mass). The
pulses are based either on the money amount or on the mass amount.
PULSE UNIT OPTIONS
•
0
- (Default) Disabled
•
1
- Money Display (Dollar)
–
The pulses sent to the fleet system are based on the sale money amount.
•
2
- Mass Display (Petrol)
–
The pulses sent to the fleet system are based on the sale mass amount.
To select a pulse unit option in Menu Code 50, follow this procedure:
1.
After the Manager’s Mode has been accessed, press the number

and
0
,
then the
Mode
button on the keypad. The PPV display shows the
dispenser is in Menu Code 50.
If the dispenser has not been programmed since it came from the factory,
disabled will appear in the main display. This is the default setting.
2.
To change the setting, use the
0
through
2
buttons on the keypad to enter
a new option. The display will show dashes during a new selection as
shown in
Figure 50.2
.
Note
: If an error is made, press the correct number.
The new number replaces the error.
3.
When the desired pulse unit appears in the main display, press the
Enter
button to save your setting. The dashes will disappear after a selection is
made.
4.
Proceed to Step 2

Determine the Pulse Ratio.
