INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
Follow all installation and operating instructions provided by the original manufacturer with all products.
Note:
Ensure that the threads on
all fittings are
clean of foreign debris, such as oil, grease, and shavings. All connections must be tight to prevent leaks.
Note:
Nozzles and
Fueling Hoses must be properly grounded.
1.
Ensure all necessary steps in
section have been completed.
3.
Place the dispenser on foundation and anchor in place using four (minimum ½-inch diameter) anchor bolts through the base frame.
Anchor bolts must be designed for use in foundation material, compatible with the galvanized steel dispenser frame, and conform to
all codes and standards applicable to the installation site.
Note:
When anchoring the dispenser, always level the dispenser with metal
shims before bolting to the foundation. Do not shim the middle of base rails to bolt down the dispenser. Shim only near bolts.
NOTE:
THE DISPENSER MUST BE BOLTED TO THE ISLAND. DO NOT SKIP THIS STEP

Install plumbing field connections to the hydrogen inlet(s), machine air, and vent tube bulkheads. Refer to
. Field Connection - Hydrogen Vent
Outlet and
GENERAL PIPING INFORMATION,
all on page 19.
5.
If applicable, Install field connection between the blower and purge line. Refer to
BLOWER INSTALLATION
section for more details.
6.
If not already included with the dispenser, install the listed breakaways, hoses, and nozzles. Refer to
INSTALLATION OF BREAKAWAYS,
HOSES, AND NOZZLES
section for more details. Check for continuity from the end of the nozzle to the cabinet ground or metal frame
using an ohm meter.
7.
Install connections for data communication. Refer to
DATA COMMUNICATION WIRING
for more details.
8.
Install connections for dispenser earth grounding. Refer to
section for more details.
9.
Install connections for AC power. Refer to
section for more details.
10.
Install wiring connections to the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Refer to the field wiring diagram in the
section for
more details.
11.
Connect leads to the 12 VDC battery from the 819 power board. Refer to
Battery (DC Power) Installation
12.
Install the wire separator. Refer to
section for more details.
13.
If not already included with the dispenser, install the listed audible/visual alarm. Refer to
Installing Audible/Visual Alarm
section for
more details.
14.
Replace any safety covers removed during installation procedure.
15.
Power ON dispenser. Refer to
16.
section for more details.
17.
Test dispenser for leaks. Refer to section
section for more details.
18.
Complete
