7. Maintenance and calibration
7.1 Calibration
Like any other test instrument, UNIMET® 1100ST requires a regular measured values check.
The calibration interval is 24 months. The test system can only be calibrated and adjusted by
BENTRON
®
or persons who has been authorized by BENTRON
®
.
7.2 Changing the battery
The UNIMET® 1100ST is powered by a battery with a service life of approx. three years. The
test system battery can only be changed by BENTRON
®
or persons who has been authorized
by BENTRON
®
.
The battery is always replaced by BENTRON
®
as part of the calibration procedure.
7.3 Maintenance
Other than the work carried out as part of periodic calibration, the device requires no further
maintenance.
7.4 Device errors
UNIMET® 1100ST monitors its device functions continuously. In the unlikely event that an
error does occur, a message will appear on the display in plain text.
Proceed as follows:
1. Make a note of the error message.
2. Switch the UNIMET® 1100ST off and remove the mains connector.
3. Make a note of what happened prior to the error: operator inputs, type of DUT, ambient
conditions, etc.
4. Keep the device serial number to hand.
5. Call BENTRON® technical support and describe the type of error.
