5.3 Test
A test can be started in a number of ways. Start a test:

following classification by pressing Enter;
●
by selecting an existing type from the type catalogue;
●
by selecting an existing device from the device catalogue;
●
as a user-defined test from the main menu;
●
from the main menu by calling up a serial number using the barcode scanner.
The test is carried out in accordance with the following sequence:
1. Visual inspection (not when testing in accordance with IEC 60601-1)
2. Electrical tests
3. Functional test (not when testing in accordance with IEC 60601-1)
The test can be aborted at any point by pressing
.
5.3.1
Carrying out the visual inspection
Carry out the visual inspection using the test steps listed. All visual inspections are set as
passed [ ] by default. If a DUT should fail a test step, press the relevant function key. This
will mark the test step concerned as failed [
]. The entire test is assessed as failed. Press
Enter to apply the entries and continue the test. If the visual inspection contains a large
number of test steps, it will be displayed on more than one page.
5.3.2
Connecting the DUT
If there are patient connections which have been assigned to function groups, UNIMET®
1100ST will indicate which patient bushes these patient connections need to be plugged into.
Plug the patient connections into the bushes on the UNIMET® 1100ST.
Example: Type CF patient connections in bushes 1 - 2,
Type BF patient connections in bushes 3 - 4.
