5. CARE AND MAINTANANCE
The vacuum tip, saliva ejector nozzle, cap and filter can
be sterilized with autoclave. Sterilize the body with
autoclave in the assembled state.
Sterilization with autoclave is permitted up to 250 times.
However, sterilization of the valve with autoclave is
permitted up to 100 times (because of application of load
at the time of sliding).
Keep the vacuum tip and saliva ejector tip in a clean
place.
Cleaning of vacuum handpiece body section
[Disassembling and cleaning procedure]
1. Pull the cap section and body of the vacuum handpiece
to outside, and carry out disassembly as shown in the
figure. Also remove the valve from the slide groove.
Remove dirt with tap water before sterilization.
2. Remove the filth from the valve and cap section using
Durr FD333.
3. Scrape out the filth from the body's slide groove with a
tooth brush, and wipe it off using Durr FD333.
Apply vaseline to the body's slide groove on termination
of cleaning.
4. For reassembly, fit the valve to the body's slide groove,
and then fit the cap section as matched with the shape of
the body.
* The saliva ejector handpiece body also permits
disassembly and cleaning by observing the procedure
described above.
