Notify the switch administrator and perform a soft shutdown of the system prior to
turning off power and disconnecting power cords. Follow the steps below:
1. Verify with the local system administrator that there is a current backup of
the system before shutting down the system.
2. If you are currently connected to the telephone network, notify the switch
administrator that you are disconnecting. The administrator will ask you
which extensions will be affected.
3. At the login prompt, enter: craft
The system responds with:

4. Enter the password provided with the system, if this shutdown is occurring
after a new installation. Or, contact the Remote Maintenance Center for
the correct password.
The system responds with:
TERM=[AT386]?
The system is showing the default terminal type.
5. Press
to accept the AT386 default.
The system displays the Lucent Intuity Administration menu.
6. Starting at the Lucent Intuity Administration menu, select:
Use the arrow keys on the right side of the keyboard to make your
selections. The system responds with the
System Control
screen as
shown in Screen 5-1.
ENTER
