This chapter describes how to:

■

Perform a soft shutdown of the system 

■

Remove the front panel of the unit

■

Remove the top cover from the unit

■

Locate components

■

Replace the front panel and top cover

!

DANGER:

The system unit power supply contains AC voltage at levels that can cause 
injury or death on contact. Before removing any system unit covers, turn off 
the system and unplug the power cord from the AC outlet.

Shutting Down the System

If the system has been operating, you should perform a backup of the system 
and then complete a “soft” shutdown of the system prior to turning off power. 
Refer to the 

Intuity Platform Administration and Maintenance for Release 3.0,

 

585-310-557, for instructions on how to back up the system.

CAUTION:

The software system must be shut down before shutting off power or the file 
system will be damaged
