Making a Direct Connection 
from Lucent Intuity Multi-Port 
to 715 Terminal or Other DCE 
Devices

Use the following procedure and illustration to make these cable connections.

1.  Attach the 14-foot (4.3-meter) modular cable (provided with the card) to 

the multi-port serial card.

2. Attach the other end of the 14-foot (4.3-meter) modular cable (provided 

with the multi-port card) to the DTE adapter.

3. Connect an RS-232 cable to the other end of the DTE adapter.

4. Connect the other end of the RS-232 cable to the 715 terminal DCE port or 

other DCE devices.
