5.4 Protocols Tab
The
Protocols
tab is used to transfer files from the device to Belden Horizon.
5.4.1 File Relay
The LAN and WAN ports on the OpEdge are physically isolated. The File Relay functionality
enables simple and secure transfer of files across segmented networks. For example, if the
customer would like to back up all of their OT equipment configuration files on the server without
wanting to create a link between the IT and OT network, the OpEdge can be used to segment
between the two networks.
The
File Relay
tab allows you to use the Internal Storage (/user folder) on the device as a
temporary storage medium for large files that can be automatically transferred to a remote
location. Files can be copied to the OpEdge Internal Storage from a FTP/SFTP Client. The files
can then be transferred to a remote FTP/SFTP Server, or via Belden Horizon.
