Section 6 — External Interfaces
Kayenne K-Frame system router protect commands are applied to all
router levels.
Router Source Name Changes (at the Router) and GV Switcher
Updates
When an NV9000, Encore, or other supported router is connected to a GV
Switcher system using Grass Valley’s Native Protocol (SMS 7000), and
router source names are changed, the system and menu will now be
updated automatically, with a few limitations.
The following areas of the GV Switcher system will continue to require a
manual update for a router source name change:
• R-MEMs—Learn a new R-MEM in the Router, R-MEM menu,
• Macros—Learn a new Macro in the Macro menu,
• Device Control configuration for router sources—Update the router
source name in the Eng Setup, Router menu, and
• Switcher sources configured for router destinations—Update the
Router Destination source name in the Eng Setup, Source Definition
menu.
CAUTION If these areas of the system are not manually updated, the router source may
behave unexpectedly or no longer work.
