Input Cards
The KMX-3901-IN cards are input modules that can be installed in a Densité 3, Densité 3+
FR1, or Densité 3+ FR4 frame, to be part of a Kaleido-Modular-X multiviewer system.
SDI input cards are available with eight or 16 inputs. Two different 16-input card models are
available to drive one or two output cards for two or four possible multiviewer outputs.
A KMX-3901-IN-IP input/output card is available with two (1+1 redundant) 10 GigE ports
supporting up to 6 SMPTE ST 2022-6 IP video inputs (3G/HD/SD). This input card can drive
one output card, for two multiviewer output. In addition, one or both multiviewer outputs
can be looped back into this card’s SDI inputs and made available over IP, as a SMPTE-2022-
6 stream.

Notes
• Early revisions of the KMX-3901-IN input cards (see

fully compatible with the Densité 3+ FR4 frame. These
cards are unable to properly extract the URS signal from the frame. Should
you decide to rely on the card's external reference input (instead of the
URS signal), to genlock your signals, the card will operate properly,
however URS time code extraction will be unreliable. Grass Valley can
modify these cards if needed (see
