INTELLIGATE IG9

A50-61013-00001

Thank  you  for  showing  your  confidence  in  us  by  purchasing  the  BEHRINGER  INTELLIGATE  IG9. This

ultimate effects pedal is specifically designed to achieve super-effective noise suppression without signal

deterioration. It ensures high signal integrity through a very fast attack time, program-adaptive release time

and frequency-selective noise suppression.
A noise gate increases the dynamic range of a signal by suppressing unwanted noise which is cut out

when the instrument signal drops below a certain threshold level. Furthermore, the IG9 has a selectable

filter cut-off point for frequency-selective noise suppression ensuring inaudible dynamics enhancement and

ultra-transparent tone.

CONTROLS

Top view

Use the

{1}

THRESHOLD

 switch to select a threshold range which suits your signal. In the upper position

(HIGH) the sensitivity is high and the gate only cuts out very low-level signal portions. In the lower

position (LOW) the sensitivity is low and the gate is more often cutting off.
Turn the

{2}

THRESHOLD

 control to precisely set the threshold value above which the signal will remain

unaffected.
The

{3}

GATE

 selector determines the frequency range that is cleaned by the IG9. Set it to HIGH to gate

out the signal of instruments with high-frequency boost as in the case with clean guitar and keyboard.

Use the MID position to clean the signal of sources with midrange-frequency boost as, for example,

with distorted guitar. In both cases low-frequency signals will remain unaffected. Select the FULL

position for signals with hum or buzz problems like the output of a guitar effects rack. The intensity of

the GATE LED above the selector indicates the level of noise reduction.
The LED illuminates when the effect is activated. It also serves as a battery level indicator.

Depress the footswitch to activate/deactivate the effect.

Use this 1/4" TS

{6}

IN

 connector to plug in the instrument cable.

The 1/4" TS

{7}

OUT

 connector sends the signal to your amp.

Use the DC IN connection to plug in a 9 V power supply (not included).
To install or replace the 9 V battery (not included), remove the bottom side of the unit taking the four screws

off.

The IG9 has no on/off switch. As soon as you connect the jack to the in connector, the IG9 is

+

switched on. When the IG9 is not being used, remove the jack from the in connector to extend

the battery life.

The

SERIAL NUMBER

 is located on the bottom side of the device.
