INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALLATION
WALL MOUNT - SINGLE FACE:
1. Extend unswitched 24 hour AC supply of rated voltage to junction box or appropriate wiring (supplied by others).
Leave at least eight (8) inches of slack wire. The circuit should not be energized at this time.
2. Remove both sign and base assembly from the box. Do NOT cut the plastic loop lock wire. (Figure 1)
3. Change pictogram if needed by unscrewing the faceplate bracket screw and sliding the pictogram down and out of
the frame.
4. Follow instructions on page 3 to select and install a lens for the desired light distribution.
5. Knock out the appropriate mounting pattern and/or wire pass-thru hole on the exit back plate to fit the junction box or
wiring connector being used (supplied by others).
6. Bring wires through the back of the sign and mount the sign securely in place. Screw directly to junction box.

7. Connect supply wires as per diagram provided. (Figure 10)
8. Route wires and secure them in place by the provided tie wraps. (Figure 4)
9. Separate the cover from the base by removing 2 side screws. (Figure 2)
10. Cut the loop lock from the base assembly. (Figure 4) Swing and hold the base assembly to the right side and slide
the faceplate into the frame. (Figure 5)
11. Secure the base assembly to the frame by two provided screws. (Figure 7) Connect the battery, and two LED
connectors to the charger board.
12. Close the cover with the right orientation. (Figure 8)
13. Secure cover with 2 screws. (Figure 9)
14. Turn on the AC voltage supply.
CEILING/END MOUNT - SINGLE OR DOUBLE FACE:
1. Follow steps 1 to 4 of Wall Mounting instructions above.
2. On the top and both sides of the sign there are three (3) holes for the canopy - two (2) for the mounting screws and
one (1) wire pass-thru hole. Knock out the three appropriate canopy mounting holes for your installation. (Figure 6)
3. Secure the canopy to the sign using the supplied 1 inch screws and washer nuts and the snap the wire pass-thru
hole plastic bushing into the wire pass-thru hole in the centre of the canopy. (Figure 6)
4. Bring wires through the wire pass-thru.
5. Secure the sign to the wall or ceiling using the supplied 1-1/2 inch screws and nuts. Screw directly to junction box if
possible. A universal spider plate is supplied to allow for exit sign placement adjustment or connection to a variety of
electrical boxes. (Figure 6)
6. Connect AC supply as per diagram provided. (Figure 10)
7. Route wires and secure them in place by the provided tie wraps. (Figure 4)
8. If double face is required then replace the backplate cover with the second faceplate. Signs that are specified double
face will already have the second/rear faceplate installed. (Figure 3)
9. Follow steps 10 to 14 of Wall Mounting instructions above.
