Inspect the membrane to verify that it is not broken, or wrinkled and is 
centered properly with no uneven edges protruding. If membrane is not 
centered correctly or is damaged, repeat Steps 1-4 with a new membrane.

Do not touch membrane surface when installing the quad-ring.

Reinstall the quad-ring (1) onto the membrane retainer. When installed, the 
quad-ring must by on the very end of the CO

2

 electrode. This ensures a 

proper fluid seal when the electrode is installed in the flow cell.
