Six-Month Maintenance

Replace Calcium and Potassium Electrode Tip

The following procedures apply to the preparation and replacement of calcium and 
potassium electrodes that are housed in the flow cell. The operator may choose to 
replace one or both electrode tips at the same time.

Step

Action 

1

Pour ISE Reference Solution (do not dilute) into a small beaker or glass 
container to a depth not to exceed two inches (50 mm).

2

Unpack a new potassium electrode tip (P/N 669117) (1) and/or a new 
calcium electrode tip (P/N 467769) (2). Unpack each tip and carefully 
remove the knurled protective cap (3) from membrane end of tip assembly. 
Verify that the black protective cover on the internal threaded connector 
end of the tip assembly is in place.
