NOTE
Selecting Include Pulse Data will increase the file size significantly.

Select Use the current folder or Use a custom folder.
If you are using a custom folder, click

Browse

and navigate to the desired folder.

to return to the Edit the SOM window.

. In the File Name Generation window:
8. Create the file name template by selecting components such as File ID, Date, and Time. For more

9. In the Edit the SOM / Run Settings window, click

Saving Analysis Data Manually
If you have not used Standard Operating Method settings to save analysis data automatically
(page
4-2 ), or if you want to save analysis data using a new name, you can save the file after the
analysis is complete.
To save analysis data manually when an analysis is open in the Viewing Area:
1. Select
RunFile > Save
or
RunFile > Save As
on the Run Menu bar.
2. In the Save As window, navigate to the appropriate folder and enter a file name in the File Name
field. If you want to write protect the analysis file, select Save as read-only in the middle of the
window.
3. Click

Save
)
.
NOTE
Analysis files are identified by the extension .#m4 or custom extensions created in the File
Name Generation window (page
4-4 ).
Opening a Saved Analysis File
To open a saved analysis file:
1.
Select
File > Open
on the Main Menu bar or click
(
Open
)
in the Main Toolbar.
2. In the Open window, navigate to the appropriate folder and select the file name.
3. Click

Open
)
