If you do not create and select a new database, the system will use the default
database (CEQ.mdb) to store your data.
If you have created a sample plate in a database that is too large and are presented with
the warning, perform the following set of procedures to transfer your sample plate to a
new database and process the plate for data storage in a new database.
1. Click
No
to dismiss the warning dialog box.
2. Exit the Run module and the Sample Setup module.
3. Make sure all of the other modules are closed.
4. Open the Data Manager module.
5. Create a new database by highlighting CEQDBAS and clicking
New
button.
6. Enter a name for the database and click
OK
.
7. Select the new database and set it as the Working Database.
8. Copy the sample plate from the previous working database to the new database.
9. Click
OK All
to copy any objects referenced by the sample plate to the new
database.
10. Exit the Data Manager module and launch the Run module.
11. Select
Run | Start Sample Plate
.
12. Select the new sample plate and click
OK
.
13. The plate will be processed and the data will be stored in the new database.
It is recommended that you archive databases that are larger than about
500MB.
Gel Re-estimation Feature
The system will determine if the gel cartridge volume is sufficient to safely process the
plate.
