Connection technology
Beckhoff delivers supply modules with integrated and pre-assem-
bled power cables and EtherCAT cables. Mating connectors are not
included in the scope of supply. The cable end of the power supply
is pre-assembled with ferrules and the EtherCAT cable comes with
an RJ45 plug (TSB568A configuration).
Cables
Beckhoff cables have been tested with regard to the materials,
shielding and connection method used. They ensure proper func-
tioning and compliance with statutory regulations such as EMC and
UL. The use of other cables may lead to unexpected interference
and invalidate the warranty.
For proper application and assembly we recommend:
• Wiring in accordance with applicable regulations and standards
• Use the pre-assembled and shielded Beckhoff cables for power
and EtherCAT connections
Laying
The following cables are integrated in the supply modules:
• 5 m power cable (orange):

Lay the cables so that they are protected against external damage.
Make sure that the cables lie in a position where they are protected
against moving machine parts and their acceleration forces. Beck-
hoff recommends "fixed installation", because the cables are not
suitable for drag chains.

cables and EtherCAT cables in the table:
