Space Requirements
System component dimensions are defined at:
11.1 Microseparator™ Coolant System - Standard, page 27
11.2 Microseparator™ Coolant System - HC, page 28
Important Installation Notes:
The centrifuge should be installed as shown with respect to the main
tank. The control panel can be positioned where it best suits the
installation but may require hard conduit to be used across aisles or at
distances greater than the provided flexible conduit will accommodate.
Allow a minimum of 3’ (.91m) along all sides of the installed system for
maintenance and service access.
Observe all state, local, NEC and NFPA regulations concerning space in
front of all opening electrical enclosures.
Space must be allowed for sliding the sludge box from beneath the
centrifuge. The centrifuge supporting frame can be rotated 180° to allow
best direction of removal to suit the installation. Refer to:
Microseparator™ CF65 G, page 16 and 10.2 Microseparator™ HC – CF105
page 17
Best installation practice calls for access for routine maintenance on side
‘A’ as shown in the drawings above. Overhead utilities are connected at
side ‘B’ of the tank assembly as shown above.
Where Pump Stations with Chip Separators are installed, the gravity
drained fluid will enter at either A or B above. Plan installation carefully
to avoid obstruction by the drain pipeline. Refer to:
21 Chip Separator Assemblies (Without Pumping Tank) page 68.
