In the US, grounding reliability can be achieved only when this equipment is connected to an earth-grounded receptacle
marked “Hospital Grade.” When grounding reliability is in doubt, the equipment should be battery powered.

When attaching the pump to an IV pole, ensure that it has been clamped securely.
CAUTION
If the pump is attached to an IV pole, ensure that the device is mounted where the main body is
easily accessible and the IV administration set can be installed in the loading mechanism without
stretching or kinking the tubing.
