Overheat heat sink monitoring function
The temperature of the heat sink is monitored.
A linear thermal sensor is located on the heat sink the measured value of which is passed on to the
controller. This means the controller is responsible for the temperature monitoring (refer to the
controller description) which must be set according to the technical data in the controller description.
The message ”Power part on the motor side ready” is cleared.

Internal auxiliary voltage monitoring function
The voltage which is used to trigger the power transistors, is monitored.
If there is no internal auxiliary voltage, a message is generated. This message is transmitted to the
controller. The message ”Power part on the motor side ready” is cleared.

Safety relay (option)
The switching state of the safety relay is monitored.
For further information on the safety relay please refer to ”Messages via relay contacts” page 61.

WARNING
The highest temperature allowed for the heat sink is 90 °C - higher temperatures may destroy the
unit .
Adjust the controller in such a way, that ”Power part on the motor side ready” will be cleared by the
controller, when the heat sink reaches a temperature of 85 - 90 °C.
