Function block (FB) IEI_INIT

Function block IEI_INIT initializes the IEI option module (BM4-O-IEI-01). The system 
writes the configuration that was created at the input to the registers in communication 
RAM. 

FB IEI_INIT needs library BM_TYPES_20bd03 (PROPROG 

wt 

II) or 

BM_TYPES_30bd01 (ProProg wt III) or above.

 

Description

Function block IEI_INIT is for initializing the IEI option module. At its inputs, you set the 
IEI option module's mode (encoder or probe mode) using the corresponding configuration 
of the mode. You choose the mode by connecting valid values to inputs us_FACTOR or 
us_TOUCH_PROBE_MODE.

FB IEI_INIT makes these settings in the IEI option module's counter mode register.

Latch conditions 2 and 3 are set after calling FB IEI_INIT in encoder mode by writing to 
the latch mode register. Latch conditions 2 and 3 are NOT set via FB IEI_INIT.
