LBFH/I
Point level detection – hygienic/industrial
7.
Configuration
The sensor can be configured either via qTeach,
remote teach or the FlexProgrammer. If formation
of foam or adhesion of media have to be detected,
a configuration with the FlexProgrammer will be
necessary.
Configuring with qTeach
A switch point can be configured via qTeach. When
doing so configuration must last 5 minutes at most,
otherwise the process will be canceled and will
have to be restarted.
9
Sensor is connected.
f
Briefly hold screwdriver or other metal object on
the qTeach detector.
The LED flashes magenta.
f
Dip sensor tip into medium.
f
Place screwdriver on qTeach detector again.
LED flashes green: Switch output SW1 is
defined and the sensor can differentiate between
air and medium.
LED flashes red: An error has occurred and the
configuration must be restarted. Changes have
not been saved.
f
In order to restart the configuration: Disconnect
sensor from voltage supply and connect it again.
f
To cancel the configuration: Place screwdriver
on qTeach detector for 5 seconds.
The LED will light up red and the configuration
can be restarted.
Configuring via remote teach
Sensors that are built into places hard to access
can be configured via remote teach easily and
without any other help.
9
The remote teach function has been activated
with FlexProgrammer before the integration of
the sensor (see FlexProgrammer instructions).
f
Short-circuit switch output SW1 for more than
1 second with GND (0 V).
The LED flashes magenta.
f
Cover sensor tip with medium.
f
Short-circuit switch output SW1 again with
GND (0 V).
LED stops flashing.
Configuring with FlexProgrammer and PC
Switch points and damping of both switch outputs
can be set as desired with FlexProgrammer.
f
Connect FlexProgrammer to sensor.
f
Connect FlexProgrammer to PC and set
parameters (see FlexProgrammer instructions).
