a) Assembly and connection
Do not connect the mains plug to the mains until you have fully assembled the blender.
• Insert the blending attachment onto the motor unit so that the arrow on the motor unit is aligned with the open lock
symbol on the attachment.
• Turn the blending attachment clockwise until the arrow is aligned with the closed lock symbol.
• Fully unwind the mains cable (7) and insert the mains plug into a wall-mounted socket.
• The blender is now ready for use.
b) Puréeing/mixing
Do not use the blender for more than one minute at a time. Allow it to cool down for at least one
minute before using it again. After using the product five times (max. time for each cycle = one
minute), allow it to cool down to room temperature for approximately one hour. Using the blender
for longer periods may damage the motor.
Never overfill the mixing bowl, otherwise the contents may spill when the blender is turned on.
Only use the blender to purée soft foods or liquids. Never attempt to purée very hard foods, fruit kernels or
bones, as this may damage the motor and cause injuries.
Puréeing hot foods can cause burns. Never purée foods with a temperature in excess of 100 ºC. Never
use the blender to mix hot fat or oil.
If the blender becomes blocked during use, turn it off immediately and unplug it from the mains before
removing the blockage.
• Place the food or liquid that you want to blend into a mixing bowl (not included). If possible, use a high/deep mixing
bowl.
• Set the desired rotational speed using the speed dial (6) (MIN= lowest speed, MAX = highest speed). Use lower
speeds for soft/liquid foods and higher speeds for more solid foods.
The rotational speed can only be adjusted in speed level
I
.
The rotational speed for speed level
II
is preset to the highest speed and it cannot be set manually.
•
Hold the blender firmly on the motor unit and insert it into the mixing bowl. Hold down the
I
(4) or
II
(5) speed switch
to turn on the blender (
I
= lower speed,
II
= higher speed).
To minimize splatter, do not turn the blender on until you have inserted it into the food or liquid in the
mixing bowl.
• Move the blender up and down in a circle to ensure that the food is blended evenly.
To prevent splatter, ensure that the bottom of the blade head stays below the surface of the mixing bowl
contents.
• Turn off the blender after use by releasing the switch.
•
Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket and clean the blender as described below in section “11. Care and
cleaning”.
