9. Setting up the blender

Remove all the components from the packaging and check that no parts are missing or damaged. Do not use the
blender if any parts are damaged.

Clean the motor (3) and blending attachment (2) with the blade (1) as described in section “11. Care and cleaning”.
This is necessary to remove any residues left over from the manufacturing process.
10. Operation
The blade is very sharp. Exercise caution when assembling, cleaning and using the appliance. Never touch
the blade when the blender is on or put any kitchen utensils into the mixing bowl. This poses a risk of injury.
Never remove the blending attachment (2) when the blender is on. Wait until the blade has come to a
complete standstill.
Always turn off the blender before removing the blending attachment or connecting/disconnecting the
blender to/from the mains.
Never allow the appliance to come into contact with hot surfaces (e.g. stoves). Do not use the product
near to open flames.
The blender must only be used on dry, level, heat-resistant and non-slip surfaces (e.g. kitchen worktops).
