- After the accumulators are completely charged the
charging set will automatically change over to the
cyclic floating mode. This is signalled by the char-
ging condition LED being
lit green
. There is no need
to remove the accumulators from the charging set
upon completion of the charging operation. The
floating charge function prevents the accumulators
from being overcharged.
We recommend to subject the NiMH accu-
mulators comprised in the delivery to seve-
ral charging (discharging-charging) cycles
before putting them into service. This helps
in fully developing the maximum capacity of
the accumulators. Accumulators will loose
their charge in the course of time even
though you do not use them. Accumulators
which were stored for more than a week
should be recharged prior to use.
Discharge function
This function discharges the inserted accumulators
before the rapid charging operation begins. This is
useful specifically for NiCd accumulators to avoid the
memory effect. For an activation of the discharge fun-
ction, proceed as follows:
