b) Device safety
• To power the device, use only a mains cable or a power bank with USB output and
corresponding load capacity (min. 2 A) may be used.
• Also observe the safety instructions and operating instructions of the device to
which the product is connected to a power supply.
• When not in use, the device must be switched off and disconnected from the
power supply.
• Always keep cables away from rotating parts of the device.
• Turn your tool off when you move away from it. Wait until all moving parts have
come to a complete standstill. After switching off, tools still continue to turn for a
short time.
• Never press the shaft latch while the shaft is turning.
• If you hear unusual extraneous noises, switch the device off immediately and
disconnect it from the power supply.
• In the case of unusual vibrations or other symptoms of defects, switch the device
off at once. Investigate the possible cause.
• Always keep the ventilation slits of the device clear and clean.
• Protect the product from moisture, extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong
vibrations or high mechanical stresses, combustible gases, vapours and solvents.
• Keep cables away from heat, oil, sharp corners or moving device parts.
• If safe operation is no longer possible, take the device out of service and secure
it against unintended use. Safe operation is no longer possible, if the product:
- shows visible damage,
- no longer functions properly,
- has been stored under adverse ambient conditions for an extended period of
time or
- has been exposed to considerable strain during transport.
c) Work safety
• Switch tools only when the product is disconnected from the power supply. You
thus avoid accidentally switching the devices on while you are switching out the
tools.
• Keep your workspace clean and uncluttered. Disorder and poor lighting or un-
lighted workspaces can lead to accidents.
• Do not work with the device in potentially explosive atmospheres, in which flam-
mable materials, such as liquids, gases, materials or dust are or can be found.
Flying sparks during working with metal can cause fires. Therefore, keep flam-
mable materials away from your workspace.
• Keep children and other persons away while using the device. If you are dis-
tracted, you could lose control of the device.
• Be alert; pay attention to what you are doing and use common sense while working.
• Do not use the device when you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol
or medications. A moment of inattention while using the device can cause serious
injuries.
• Avoid an accidental start-up. Make sure that the power tool is switched off before
it is connected to the power supply. If you have your finger on the on/off switch
while carrying the device or if you connect the device to the power supply while it
is switched on, this can lead to accidents.
• Make sure you are standing securely while working. Always keep your balance.
• Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothing, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• Do not overload the device.
• Store the device out of the reach of children. Do not let people use the device if
they are unfamiliar with it or have not read these instructions.
• Maintain the device carefully. Check whether moving parts of the device function
properly and do not stick, whether parts are broken or damaged such that the
function of the device is negatively affected. Have damaged parts repaired before
using the device. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• When using third-party accessories, observe the operating instructions of the
respective manufacturer. Pay attention to the maximum rotational speed when
using third-party accessories or tools.
