Interlock System
The interlock system is a safety system to
prevent injury or accident caused by
operator inattentiveness using combined
control with multiple switches and sensors.
The fuel stop solenoid operates in
coordination with the seat switch, parking
brake switch, reel rotation switch, reel
reverse switch and proximity switch (for
traveling pedal neutral).
Before Starting the Engine:
An operator is sitting on the seat.
Apply the parking brake.
Set the reel rotation switch to the "OFF"
position.
Take the foot off the traveling pedal
(forward or reverse pedal).
To travel:
An operator is sitting on the seat.
The engine will stop under any of the
following conditions:
The parking brake is applied, the
operator leaves the seat, the traveling
pedal (forward/reverse pedal) is
pressed.
The parking brake is released without
an operator sitting on the seat.
Turn the reel rotation switch "ON"
without sitting on the driver's seat.
To do work (reel rotation):
An operator sits on the seat.
Turn "ON" the reel rotation switch.
Lower all mower units. (mower unit #2
proximity switch is ON)
If the operator leaves the driver's seat,
the engine is stopped.
The reel cutter does not rotate unless
mower unit has been lowered below a
specific height.
To leave the driver's seat without stopping
the engine:
Apply the parking brake.
The traveling pedal (forward/reverse
pedal) is not pressed.
Turn "OFF" the reel rotation switch.
To do back lapping:
Apply the parking brake.

pedal) is not pressed.
Stop the engine.
Open the hood, and then set the reel
reverse switch to the "ON" position.
Sit on the seat and then start the engine.
Lower all mower units. (mower unit #2
proximity switch is ON)
The reel cutter does not rotate unless
mower unit has been lowered below a
specific height.
Turn "ON" the reel rotation switch.
