Adjustment
Proximity Sensor
Reel Rotation Circuit
Mower Units #1/#4/#5
Note:
The rotations/stops of the operating reel
cutters in mower unit #1, #4, and #5 are
adjusted by the cam and proximity sensor of
mower unit #1 fulcrum portion.
Start the engine.
Warning
Do not get under the mower units.
Caution
For the stage to place the mower unit on, use
a stout stage which can bear the weight of
the mower unit.
Raise all mower units and place mower
unit #1 on a stage 160.0 mm (6.30 in)
high.

Warning
Be sure to stop the engine before adjusting
the proximity sensor.
Stop the engine.
Important
This operation should be performed by two
persons. One shall sit on the driver's seat and
the other shall adjust the proximity sensor.
Sit on the driver's seat.
Turn "ON" the main switch.
Make sure that the parking brake is
applied.
Turn the reel rotation switch "Rotating".
Follow the steps below to adjust the
proximity sensor.
Loosen the bolts so that the switch
mounting bracket can be moved in the
direction of the arrow.
Gradually raise the proximity sensor on
the switch mounting bracket.
Tighten the bolts in the position where
the proximity sensor which has been
illuminated is turned off.
If the proximity sensor is not illuminated,
adjust it after lowering the switch
mounting bracket until the proximity
sensor is illuminated.
Make sure that the adjusted clearance
value between the cam and proximity
sensor is 1.0 to 4.0 mm (0.04 to 0.16
in).
