Adjusting the Neutral Position of the Piston
Pump
Warning
When adjusting the neutral position, exercise
care so that the hand does not get entangled
in the rotating parts.
Caution
Make sure not to touch rotating tires.
Caution
When adjusting the neutral position, pay close
attention to abrupt start of the machine.
Place the jacks beneath the jack-up points,
and then lift the machine until all the tires get
off the ground.
If the machine moves forward or backward
while the traveling pedals are released, they
are not set to the neutral position.
Follow the steps below to make adjustments.
Stop the engine.
Remove the cotter pin and washer from the
pedal end, and then disconnect the end of
the push-pull cable.

Place the jacks beneath the jack-up points,
and then lift the machine off the ground.
Use stable jack stands, and raise the
machine until the tires lift off the ground.

Start the engine, and rev it up to the
maximum rpm.
Loosen the nut on the camshaft.

Slowly rotate the camshaft until the rear
wheels stop, and then lock the camshaft with
the nut at the stopped position.

Loosen the adjuster nuts.

Push-pull cable

Adjuster nuts
Adjust the nuts until the end of the push-pull
cable of the pedal side attaches to the pedal
mount, and then tighten the adjuster nuts.
