touch zone area, which will cause the Target keypad to be displayed for user entry. For
this example, the ALT touch zone was selected.
9. While in
Control
mode, the user can select the
Hold
feature which sets the controller
Target values to present ALT and CAS values at the time
Hold
is selected. Target
values will be displayed as “HOLD” while in
Hold
mode. Select “Resume” to continue
to the original Target parameters (see Figure 23).

Hold/Resume Feature Displayed
Note:
The
Hold
feature does not place a STOP to the ALT and CAS values displayed.
Since the ALT and CAS values are in transition with some ROC and RtCAS, the
PCM controller requires some response time to reach the new temporary Target.
When “Resume” is selected, the original target ALT and CAS values will reload.
10. While in
Leak Measure
mode, there are no Target value(s) displayed because the
internal controller is off; the unit is simply measuring the aeronautical or pressure at the
(Ps) and (Pt) ports. The displayed parameters, ROC and RtCAS, provide a relative but
noisy, instantaneous leak rate indication. The touch screen is not active for any of the
4- or 2-parameter screen layouts. Only the right-half Main Menu and submenu page(s)
of the screen and
Leak Measure
mode and the
Control
mode soft-keys are active.
Refer to “D. Leak Testing” section to understand the two methods the unit provides for
measuring Leak Rate accurately.
